Before I was a Game Developer, I became a Software Engineer. During the dark times of lockdown, I had one of the brightest opportunities I could've asked for. I was accepted into the inaugural cohort NVIDIA's IGNITE program for undergraduate interns, a name that we would coin ourselves. It was very interesting forming part of a fully-remote internship during the midst of the pandemic, but I did appreciate being able to do this job from home.
I was assigned to the GeForce NOW team, where I developed a simulated client for the cloud-based gaming service using their API and Python. This client would run tests for each new update that the app received, ensuring that all features worked correctly for all types of users (Logged out, Logged in, Free Tier, Premium Tier, etc.)
Due to NDA restrictions, I can only share a high-level overview of this work.
